A Malaysian Man Wins RM14.6 Million Jackpot with His and His Girlfriend's Identity Card Numbers

Over the last three years, a man from Selangor, Malaysia, has consistently bet on the same set of numbers for the lottery.

His dedication finally paid off on Sunday (July 6) when he hit a jackpot of RM14.6 million (S$4.3 million) in a Toto game, as announced by Malaysia's gambling operator STM Lottery.

The 33-year-old project manager shared that the numbers he used were a mix of his and his girlfriend's identity card numbers, a practice he started after meeting his girlfriend three years ago.

"I always play Lotto games with this winning set of numbers: 4, 8, 11, 18, 20, and 29, and I would buy eight draws in advance," he mentioned.

Describing the win as having a "personal connection," the fortunate winner said the victory felt surreal.

After discovering the results last Sunday, the man had a sleepless night and has chosen to keep the news to himself for now, needing time to come to terms with the substantial prize, as reported by STM Lottery.

The newfound multi-millionaire plans to invest the jackpot winnings wisely.
